Reminding myself of why I am in ministry and what church folk should consider:
1. The Nature of Ministry should be: SERVICE
2. The Motive of Ministry should be: LOVE.
3. The Measure of Ministry should be: SACRIFICE
4. The Purpose of Ministry should be: The Glory of God.
5. The Strength of a Ministry should be: UNITY
Most companies will rate themselves on the Service they afford….on the Sacrifice they make to share its value…and then pin up the glory of their successes…..They will talk about pursuing the same goals…and the power of team work….
Right now the world is in need of a stability and hope and something solid they can hold on to….It has to be time for deeper connections with God….The cry of God in Isaiah 6:8….”Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?” is strong on my mind. Is God calling you to be more involved?
Success in the church depends on how we SERVE its purpose from God, albeit Sacrificially, so that God is Glorified. To serve means more than just attending. It means to own where God has sent you and apply all your efforts to see Him glorified in the best possible way. Let’s make sure that whilst we honour our work places with our pound of flesh, we don’t forget what is eternally important and SERVE God’s plan with UNITY and LOVE even to the point of SACRIFICE. The ONE that matters is watching and HE is a rewarder…
This is the ideal time to re-connect and sharpen our blades to advance the Kingdom together.
